Students showcase talent

HND Photography students from Mid Cheshire College held an opening of their exhibition ‘Personal Space’ at Castle Park
Arts Centre in Frodsham.
It was the first time the students have shown their work in a public venue and over 100 visitors came along to see an
impressive debut.
The works selected to go into the gallery are all part of larger bodies of work produced during their first year on
the HND Photography course. The exhibition pieces show each student’s highly individual response to the
exhibition brief.
Jennifer Shaw, Assistant Arts Development Officer for Vale Royal Borough Council, who works with Castle Park Arts
Centre on exhibitions and events commented;“This exhibition is a little gem. A debut that all the students should
be proud of. The work on display is strong both technically and conceptually.
How great to be able to show highly accomplished contemporary work made in Vale Royal.
It’s something the Arts Centre is delighted to be part of and we hope lots of people will come along to see the show.”
‘Personal Space’ (in Gallery 2) runs until Sunday July 23 and visitors to the Arts Centre will also be able
to see exhibitions of textiles by Ann Rogers, Isabel Hogg, Jenny Head and Alison Hine in Gallery 1 and Indian
Embroidery in Gallery 3.
